My extension activity would be for a science lesson, it would be a fun activity students can do to learn geographical characteristics. After we learn about different types of landscapes on earth, rivers vs. oceans, mountains, deserts, etc. (3rd-grade lesson). Students will use different colors and textures to show 6 different geographical characteristics based on their assigned geographical location! This is an exciting project students can put detail into and is perfect for their developmental age of drawing, Dawn of Realism (Lowenfeld).
