Printed Flower Bouquet

Description: To begin, we gathered square pieces of Styrofoam. We used a dull point to shape the Styrofoam into a flower. I chose to make mine look like a marigold because they are my favorite. Once my flower shape was formed, made pink paint and used a firm roller to apply paint to the flower. I took care not to use excessive paint that may overflow into the crevices, as instructed. Then, I pressed the painted flower design onto a white sheet of paper. Once all the flowers were pressed and dried, I carefully cut them out. Next, I adhered the cut-out flowers onto a piece of construction paper. For the vase, I took another piece of construction paper and folded it in half to create a shape. I unfolded the paper and glued it onto the main piece of paper, where the flowers were placed. I decorated the vase as desired. Finally attached the flowers to the vase with green stems.

Extension Activity: In a science t parts of a plant, students will learn about the different components that make up a plant and their functions. This includes the roots, stem, leaves, and flowers. The lesson should involve visual aids, class discussion, and finish with a craft to help students understand the purpose and importance of each plant part. By the end of the lesson, students should have a basic understanding of how plants are structured and how each part contributes to their growth and survival.
